Stamp Club in Granbury, TX

Granbury

JUL 28

The next Granbury meeting for 2026 will be held on Tuesday, July 28.

The program will be presented by MCSC member Joe McFarland, on World Wildlife Covers - A Tribute to Denny Ludlow.

Show and Tell There will be a round of Show and Tell preceding the program.

APS books will be available at this meeting, if received in time.

Payments We have been advised the bank prefers that checks for sales book purchases to be made out to "Mid Cities Stamp Club" rather than MCSC, etc. As an alternative, you can make checks out to Dave Stockbridge or Gifford Ely, and they will cash the check for deposit in the cash box. Or (preferably), cash.

Mystery Box: Keep in mind that we (always) need donations for our club EXPO Mystery Box.

September Auctions - The second semi-annual Arlington auction will be September 2, and the annual Granbury auction will be September 22. Lots (or a listing of them) for the Arlington auction should be turned in to Skip at the August meetings, and for the Granbury auction to Dave by September 2.

Club Officer Elections If anyone would like to serve as an officer in the club, this is your chance to participate. President, Vice President (one for each chapter), Secretary, Treasurer, and Board of Directors (3) are all positions that need to be filled. You can let any of the current officers or board members of your interest. Keep in mind, the club doesn’t exist without leadership and direction.

Arlington Meeting Location - Beginning in March, Arlington meetings will be held at Trinity Unity Methodist Church, 1200 West Green Oaks Blvd. Our meeting room will be 201 (the Koinonia room, upstairs). The church serves a dinner on Wednesday night for $8 beginning at 5:00 P.M, and we will try that to see if it meets our needs. We will also begin our meeting at 6:30 P.M, as we need to end by 8:30 P.M. Additional details will be in the March meeting notice for Arlington. NOTE: We have been informed the church does not serve a dinner during the summer months, so Arlington meetings we will be reverting back to selected restaurants for June, July, and August for MEET'N'EAT.

Meeting

We will meet at the Bentwater Activities Center, 1800 W Emerald Ct, Granbury, TX, adjacent to the Bentwater Marina northeast of Granbury. The regular meeting begins at 7:00 pm, but the Center should be open from around 6:00-6:15 pm to allow for room setup and member trading and socializing. Directions to Bentwater Activities Center .

Meet'N'Eat

Ordinarily when we have an in-person meeting, we also have a MEET'N'EAT at an area restaurant, prior to the meeting. The group usually gathers between 5:00 and 5:30 PM, and we try to finish by 6:45 PM.

Meet'N'Eat will be at Grump’s, 3503 South Highway 377, Granbury, beginning round 5:00 P.M.
