The next Arlington meeting for 2024 will be held on Wednesday, July 3.
The program will be given by club 2nd Vice-President Rick Howell, who will present a video covering A Review of the Royal Philatelic Society Exhibit of Alex Haimann’s Anglo-Zulu War of 1879.
We will have our usual round of Show and Tell.
APS Books will be available at this meeting. This month's circuit books include Naval Covers (mostly from the 1940’s), Canada (up to the 1970’s), US/19th Century Covers (mostly PA), Russia (earlier), British Asia (incl. Hong Kong, Malay States, Straits Settlements), US/19th century (used, full book), and several other countries.
NOTE: the September Arlington and Granbury Meetings will feature club auctions. Members are reminded to turn in auction lots at the August meetings of those clubs.
Meeting
We will meet at our official gathering place: Bob Duncan Community Center in Arlington, located at 2800 South Center Street, in Vandergriff Park (MAPSCO 97A). The regular meeting begins at 7 pm; however, the room is usually available as of 6 pm.
Meet'N'Eat
Ordinarily when we have an in-person meeting, we also have a MEET'N'EAT at an area restaurant, prior to the meeting. The group usually gathers between 5:15 and 5:30 pm, and we try to finish by 6:45 pm.
MEET N' EAT is at Jay Jay Café, 1001 S Bowen, Arlington, TX 76013-2203 (817-861-1060), beginning at 5:00 P.M.
