The next Flower Mound meeting for 2026 will be held on Wednesday, September 16.

The program for this meeting will be our usual Show and Tell.

APS Books will be available at the meeting as well as club sales books.

The latest APS Circuit includes two books of U.S. Covers, plus books of U.S. Classic Defs and Revenues. World Wide countries include Scandinavia, India, Russia, Aden, Canada (Queen Victoria Issues), Egypt, the Philippines, Venezuela, and German, Italian, and Portuguese Colonies (one book each).

Our current inventory of club books is heavy on early U.S. stamps. Some items are rather pricey, but at a considerable discount from catalog. There are also three books of Israel, as well as one of Germany and Great Britain, and a Germany and China cover book. Finally, there is a topical book of wildlife and cats (mostly mint sets).

Annual Granbury Stamp Auction will be held Tuesday, September 22nd (4th Tuesday). It will be held at the Bentwater Activity Center, 1800 W. Emerald Ct., Granbury, TX 76049. The center will be opened at 6 PM for viewing of auction lots. The normal business meeting will be suspended. Bidders will be assigned a bid number, and bidding will begin shortly after 7 PM.

Absentee Bidding: Individuals not able to attend the live auction and wishing to bid may submit absentee bid(s). No absentee bids will be accepted after September 21. Absentee bids can be sent to “Dave Stockbridge via email at stockdave44@yahoo.com ”. Bids must contain bidders name, mailing address (if lots are to be mailed), Lot number(s) for each desired item, and the highest bid the buyer is willing to pay for each item. Minimum bids for each lot are identified on the list of lot items. Dave will place bids, for absentee bidders, starting at the minimum bid price and continue, as needed, until the buyers maximum bid is reached. All absentee bidders will be notified via email of the results of their bids. Buyers will be charged the closing bid price plus the mailing costs, unless other delivery or pickup instructions are provided.

Election of Officers: If anyone would like to serve as an officer in the club, this is your chance to participate. President, Vice President (one for each chapter), Secretary, Treasurer, and Board of Directors (3) are all positions that need to be filled. You can let any of the current officers or board members know of your interest. Keep in mind, the club doesn’t exist without leadership and direction.

Meeting

Our meeting place is at 3020 Corporate Ct Ste 400, Flower Mound, TX 75028.

The sign on the office says Step Up Sports Medicine and it is in a corporate park just east of the Texas Health Orthopedic Surgery Building in north Flower Mound. Corporate Court can be accessed from either Long Prairie Road (FM 2499) or College Parkway (via Corporate Drive).

The meeting will begin at 7:30 pm, with the room being available around 7:00 pm.

Meet'N'Eat

Ordinarily when we have an in-person meeting, we also have a MEET'N'EAT at an area restaurant, prior to the meeting. The group usually gathers around 5:30 PM, and we try to finish by 6:45 PM. These gatherings, which had been curtailed due to COVID, are now back:
