AUG 5

MID-CITIES STAMP CLUB - ARLINGTON MEETING

The program for the August 5 Arlington meeting will be presented by club member Paul Ashley, on Berlin 1945-1949. Also, members may turn in lots for the September auction. Meeting will be held at the Bob Duncan Community Center, 2800 S. Center Street in Vandergriff Park (Mapsco 97A), at 7:30pm (with meeting room available from around 6:30pm).

AUG 19

MID-CITIES STAMP CLUB - IRVING MEETING

Program will be presented by club member Jack Urish, on Hungary, Part III. The Mix Pick will be a good Japan commemorative mix, with lots of Prefectures. This meeting will be held at The Irving Garden and Arts Building at 906 Senter Street, three blocks north of Shady Grove Road. Meeting begins at 7:30 pm. The room will be available from around 7 pm.

MID-CITIES STAMP CLUB - BOARD MEETING

MID-CITIES STAMP CLUB - GRANBURY MEETING

Program to be presented by club member Jim Myers. The meeting will be held at Tarleton State University"s Langdon Center, in the Rock House (corner of Bridge and Stockton Street) at 7:00 pm. Dinner before the meeting, at Joe's Italian Restaurant, at 5:30 pm.

Program to be presented by club President Susan Baker, on Susan’s Sea Turtles. The meeting will be held at Tarleton State University"s Langdon Center, in the Rock House (corner of Bridge and Stockton Street) at 7:00 pm. Dinner before the meeting, at Grump’s, home of the best hamburger on the 3503 block of U.S. Highway 377 at 5:30 pm.

The program for the November 4 Arlington meeting is the Giant Mix Pick! This is the chance to look over all the stamps that will be offered at EXPO. There will be tables for both U.S. and foreign stamps. Meeting will be held at the Bob Duncan Community Center, 2800 S. Center Street in Vandergriff Park (Mapsco 97A), at 7:30pm (with meeting room available from around 6:30pm).

MID-CITIES STAMP CLUB - IRVING MEETING

Program will be a Review of MCSC EXPO 2009. The Mix Pick will be a good Foreign mixture. This meeting will be held at The Irving Garden and Arts Building at 906 Senter Street, three blocks north of Shady Grove Road. Meeting begins at 7:30 pm. The room will be available from around 7 pm.

MID-CITIES STAMP CLUB - GRANBURY MEETING

Program is a 29 minute American Philatelic Society slide show, The Doctoring of Postage Stamps—Philatelists Beware. The meeting will be held at Tarleton State University"s Langdon Center, in the Rock House (corner of Bridge and Stockton Street) at 7:00 pm.

MID-CITIES STAMP CLUB - ARLINGTON MEETING

The program for the December 2nd Arlington meeting is our Annual rendition of Shanghai Bingo. This will follow the annual Christmas Dinner (Club will be providing meat from Spring Creek BBQ and members are asked to bring a covered dish). Members and their guests should three small philatelic-type items in plain envelopes or boxes (wrapped is OK) for the Shanghai Bingo. The items need not be expensive, but they should be something you wouldn't mind receiving in return. Something in the $3-5 range is suggested. Meeting will be held at the Bob Duncan Community Center, 2800 S. Center Street in Vandergriff Park (Mapsco 97A), at 7:30pm (with meeting room available from around 6:30pm).

The program for the January 6 Arlington meeting is our annual "Clean Out Your Closet". Bring some philatelic material to sell, or bring some money to buy, or both. Meeting will be held at the Bob Duncan Community Center, 2800 S. Center Street in Vandergriff Park (Mapsco 97A), at 7:30pm (with meeting room available from around 6:30pm). Also, Ray Cartier will begin a series of brief presentations which will take place prior to the regular meetings at Arlington. These will start around 7PM at the back of the meeting room, and are designed for those interested in some of the basics of stamp collecting and related topics (including exhibiting). If interested, be there by 7pm.

The program for the February 3 Arlington meeting is Show and Tell, where you can show and tell about a favorite or unusual philatelic item. Prize awarded for most interesting item. Members may also turn in lots for the Irving March auction. The meeting will be held at the Bob Duncan Community Center, 2800 S. Center Street in Vandergriff Park (Mapsco 97A), at 7:30pm (with meeting room available from around 6:30pm). Ray Cartier will continue a series of brief presentations which take place prior to the regular meetings at Arlington. These start around 7PM at the back of the meeting room, and are designed for those interested in some of the basics of stamp collecting and related topics (including exhibiting). If interested, be there by 7pm. Tonight's topic: Digging into the Scott Catalogue’s Wealth of information.
